Learn to Swim
Teaching Kids Life-saving Lessons
The YMCA believes no child should drown because they never learned to swim. That's why the YMCA Learn to Swim program partners with area schools to provide kids in underserved communities with life-saving water safety instruction at no cost to their families.
YMCA Learn to Swim teaches young swimmers the skills they need to be safe in or near the water, and how to respond in a water emergency. The program is a partnership between the YMCA and Metro Nashville Public Schools and is only offered during the school year at the following locations:
- Glencliff
- Northwest Nashville
- Donelson-Hermitage
