The offers a small number of group-exercise classes for youth to attend, both with their families and as they grow older.
Youth Classes — Ages 5-12
Classes with "Youth" in their name are generally available for children age 5-12. Age ranges can vary by class and location. We recommend contacting your local Y if you have questions about whether or not a class is right for your child.
Youth-friendly Classes — Ages 10 and older
In addition to classes specifically designed for youth, a number of our group exercise classes are "youth-friendly" for youth 10 and older.
Youth may attend classes labeled "youth-friendly" based on the following guidelines:
- Children ages 10-11 can attend youth-friendly yoga and dance classes with a parent or guardian
- Youth ages 12 and older can go to youth-friendly classes on their own
- Teens ages 14 and older may enjoy any adult classes on their own
*Classes for Youth include:
- Dance Blast
- Basic Yoga
- Youth Yoga
- H2O Cardio
- Aqua Dance Blast
- Restorative Yoga
- Youth Cardio Blast
*Youth are prohibited from any class labeled "advanced"
