The Firecracker 5k kicks off the YMCA Race Series with a bang! Hosted by the Brentwood Family YMCA, this patriotic race takes runners on a spirited loop around Brentwood. In 2025, the Firecracker will only run a 5K instead of the 10K double loop.

Whether you say tom-AY-to or tom-AH-to, the Margaret Maddox Family YMCA invites you to experience a 5K and Kids Fun Run 1K you won’t soon forget!
Join us in the heart of East Nashville on Aug. 9 and come in your best tomato-themed outfit for a family-friendly event with true local flavor.
This year's Tomato 5K will have a cap of 2,000 participants, so early registration is encouraged!
