Sumner County Family YMCA’s homeschool PE program is a great for your child to socialize and exercise! Our goal of physical education classes for homeschooled students (ages 6 - 13) is to have planned individual and cooperative physical activity and fitness assessments promoting the students’ optimum physical, mental, emotional, and social development.

Incorporated elements and skills include basic movement, rhythm and dance, aquatics, and exercise classes as well as team and individual sports.

Parents should register children prior to the first class. Children should arrive in athletic wear and sneakers and bring a towel, bathing suit, and water bottle to each class.


The dates that are available for the fall are from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and are as follows:

  • August: 8, 15, 22, and 29
  • September: 5, 12, 19, and 26
  • October: 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31
  • November: 7, 14, and 21
  • December 5, 12, and 19


Up to two participants:

  • Active members: $35
  • Non-members: $45

3 or more participants

  • Active members: $50
  • Non-members: $60

**Fee is a monthly, recurring fee payable before the first class of each month.
