After Breast Cancer (ABC) is a program for survivors by survivors that provides education and healing for body, mind and spirit after a breast cancer diagnosis.
Participants learn about healthy eating, resume or begin a regular exercise program that is right for them and form a healing community in small group discussions led by a trained facilitator.
Most participants find they receive the most benefit from ABC if they join after completing treatment and all surgeries. However, our certified therapists and personal trainers can also help participants regain range of motion immediately after surgery, as well as provide lymphedema education and screening.
ABC is completely free of charge, and funded by grants, private donations and generous corporate and community sponsors.
After Breast Cancer is available at the following locations:
We welcome you to contact us for assistance immediately post-op and then come back into the full program after treatment is finished. You’ll find a safety net of other survivors to help bridge that gap between finishing treatment and defining and discovering your “new normal.”
