Tomato 5k
About the Race
The East Nashville Tomato 5K and Kids Fun Run is back for another year,
benefitting the Annual Giving Campaign at the Margaret Maddox Family YMCA.
This year’s Tomato 5K will take place Saturday, August 11, 2012, at 7:30 a.m. ,
near East Nashville’s Historic Five points, on the corner of South 10th Street
and Woodland Street. The Kids Fun Run (sponsored by
Nashville Bicycle Lounge) will precede to the 5K and begin at 7:00
a.m. in the same location.
For more than 130 years, the YMCA of Middle Tennessee has been strengthening the
foundations of our community, and working side-by-side with our neighbors to
make sure everyone, regardless of age, income or background has the opportunity
to live grow and thrive. With the funds raised through the YMCA 2012 Race
Series, the Y is able to continue to be the area’s leading nonprofit dedicated
to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
