Active Older Adults
SilverSneakersĀ® Muscular Strength and Range of MotionHave fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activity for daily living skills. Hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SilverSneakersĀ® Cardio Circuit
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength workout with hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
Senior Strength/Stretch
This class is designed for our Active Older Adults. The class will help build strength and muscular endurance by using a variety of equipment such as hand weights, body bars, elastic tubing, and resist-a-balls. Participants must be able to stand for at least 30 minutes and be able to move easily on the floor.
T & H (Twinges in the Hinges)
A gentle water class for people with arthritis or those who are just getting back into a fitness program. This class focuses on range of motion and flexibility.
Senior Yoga
These classes are designed for those who want to increase core strength, balance, range of motion and flexibility. Chairs can be used to assist in some of the moves performed during the class.
Silver Stars
Silver Stars is open to singers, musicians and dancers. Solos, duos and groups welcome! First-round auditions will take place at Cadillac Ranch in downtown Nashville on Saturday, August 23, 2008. For further details, visit www.hssilverstars.com.
