Wellness
The YMCA movement and its commitment to health and wellness is so strong, it even created the sports of basketball and volleyball, as well as YMCA methods for swim instruction that have become the standard in teaching people how to swim. However, fitness is just one part of a larger whole, not a separate activity of the YMCA's other programs and services. The YMCA has never focused on the body alone, because for over a century the Y has recognized that a person achieves total health when his/her spirit, mind and body are balanced.

Intro to Wellness - 45 Minutes
New to the Y? Get connected to what we can offer! You will meet with a Wellness Floor Associate who will help you to decide where to start on your path to Wellness. Based on your input, they will take you through a short sample training session on anything from a few yoga poses to what it would be like to be in a BootCamp class!

Microfit Fitness Assessments - 45 Minutes
Fitness Assessments are a great way to test your current fitness level. A Lifestyle assessment will help you identify areas where you may need improvement. You will receive a computerized printout with graphs, charts, and descriptions ranking your fitness level. Your wellness associate will also give you healthy nutritional suggestions for eating right. The following will be tested during your assessment: blood pressure, resting heart rate, weight, body fat %, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and upper body strength.

Equipment Orientations - 30 Minutes
Based upon your individual goals, a wellness associate will acclimate you to different cardiovascular and strength training machines. The associate will also demonstrate proper form, body alignment, pace and suggested repetitions. If you have a question on a particular machine or group of machines, this may be the perfect thing for you.

Personal Training
Personal Training can make a difference in the success of your program. This will provided you with the ultimate guide to accountability, guidance, discipline, and motivation. You will receive the latest information and the best exercises to maximize your workouts. You will receive a step by step personally developed program for your exact needs. Trainers are ACSM or NSCA certified. Trainers must be employed by the YMCA. Members may not provide their own trainers.

Boot Camps
This high intensity, results-oriented class consists of cardio drills which include running and jumping rope. Combined with core balance and strength training, the class promotes fat loss and builds greater endurance, while increasing functional movement and flexibility. Focus is on the challenges of an active lifestyle and injury prevention. Class time is spent outdoors, in the gymnasium, or in the wellness weight room.
Times and Cost:
MWF at 5:30am - $100 per month
T/TH at 8:00am - $85 per month
T/TH at 5:30pm - $85 per month

Dietmaster Meal Plans
Dietmaster is a computer based program that enables the wellness staff to customize a meal plan specifically for you. Dietmaster will tell you exactly how many calories you need each day, a full 14 day menu of foods with your specific caloric needs, and a grocery list. We offer the following meal planning options: weight loss, heart disease prevention, stroke prevention, cancer smart, breast cancer prevention, bone health, and stable blood sugar.

Weight Watchers Meetings
Attend a meeting for free to learn what it's all about. Check-ins start at 5:45pm and the meeting starts at 6:16pm.
