FACILITY INFORMATION
Welcome Center
The Franklin Family YMCA's Welcome Center is your one-stop shop to have your member cards scanned, check in guests, register for programs and get answers to any questions you may have. There's also a space for private conversations and a toy station to keep kids occupied.
Guests must be verified at the Welcome Center scan desk and then sign in at the membership desk.
Wellness Center
Our nearly 10,000-square-foot Wellness Center is a comprehensive workout facility for all fitness levels, ages and areas of interest.
Wellness staff members are always on hand to help answer any questions you may have during your time on the wellness floor. They can also connect you with both free and fee-based programs and services to help you set and achieve your health and fitness goals.
All members must adhere to rules for safe use of equipment and the YMCA member code of conduct.

STAR PHYSICAL THERAPY CLINIC
Located within our facility, this clinic features a diverse offering of quality services and you do not have to be a YMCA Member to have physical therapy here. YMCA Members are able to receive free injury assessments. Signup at the Welcome Center!
Group Exercise Facilities
We offer more than 63 group exercise classes in our two studios, AR1 and AR2. AR1 is the place for Les Mills BodyPump®, Kickboxing, Circuit classes and SilverSneakers® classes. AR2 hosts Zumba, Pilates and yoga classes. All studios offer the basic equipment required for classes offered. We hold Cardio Blast classes in the gym.

Usage policy: All codes of conduct and wellness rules apply for group exercises. We ask that participants do a self-assessment to gauge their fitness level prior to participating in a specific group fitness class.
Indoor Cycling
We offer 27 bikes by StarTrac and Schwinn for indoor cycling classes offered weekday mornings at 8:30 and 9:30.
Locker Rooms
We have four locker rooms for our members' convenience. These rooms are open for adults age 18 and up; children 5 and up must use gender appropriate locker rooms accompanied by parent. Locker rooms are equipped with hair dryers and feature lounge areas in addition to changing, shower and restroom facilities.
Those using the locker room facilities are expected to follow the YMCA member code of conduct as outlined in the locker room rules and YMCA Member Handbook.
Sauna, Steam Room & Whirlpool
Members 16 years and up may enjoy our sauna, steam room and Whirlpool facilities, located in the indoor aquatics area. For your safety in these heated environments, we ask that you restrict your time in the sauna, steam room or Whirlpool to a maximum of 15 minutes.
Gymnasium
The gym accommodates two small basketball courts or two volleyball courts. This space is popular for adult pickup games on Saturday mornings and weekday afternoons. It's also utilized for Kid's Gym activities, volleyball games and other basketball games.
Indoor Track
Our indoor track is accessible by the stairs located at the right of gym doors. Lap counters are available at the Welcome Center; 22 laps around equate to one mile.
Indoor Pools
We have two indoor pools for laps and therapy The lap pool is 25 yards in length and 3 lap lanes wide with depths of 3. 5-4 feet; it is kept at 82 degrees. Users are asked to circle swim; no lanes are designated for laps. The therapy pool ranges from 3 to 5 feet in depth and is kept at 88 degrees.
The pools are utilized for swim lessons, water aerobics, Masters Swimming and swim team sessions. Members must abide by pool rules and the YMCA swim test policy for younger swimmers.
Outdoor Pools
Our two outdoor pools are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year. The generously sized, cross-shaped lap pool is six lanes wide and 25 yards long with a zero-depth extension. Lap swimming is open 6-7:30am, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and 7 p.m.-close daily. Highlights of the outdoor pool include two slides, a water feature and rock wall.
The Y-shaped baby pool is separately enclosed.
Sports Fields
We have 10 soccer fields and five flag football fields. These fields are used for baseball, as well. They may only be used for organized activities; there is no free play on the property.
Racquetball
Our racquetball court requires two-day advance reservations for 30-90-minute time slots. Courts fill up quickly on weekday evenings. Proper footwear is required. Use of goggles is suggested and are available for your use on-site.
Y-Play
More than just a safe place to look after your children while you work out, our Y-Play service offers children ages 6 weeks to 6 years the chance to get the most out of their own visit to the Y through playing, learning and staying physically active.
Babies up to age 1 have their own room; toddlers ages 1-3 gather in the toddler room and ages 3-6 in the preschool room.
Additional Information
Children may stay at Y-Play for up to two hours per day and a maximum of nine hours per week.
Parents/guardians are the only adults authorized to leave a child with Y-Play, and are required to remain on-site at the Y during their child's visit. Only the parent or guardian who signs a child into Y-Play may sign them out or pick them up.
Mornings often reach capacity, so there's a waiting list for participants. Parents sign in each child and receive a tag for child pick up.
Youth Activity Center
Our Youth Activity Center is the place for kids ages 7-12 to play the Wii or Foosball, spend time at our creation station or read in the book nook. The room is staffed at a 20:1 children-trained staff member ratio.
Parents/guardians are the only adults authorized to leave a child with the YAC, and are required to remain on-site at the Y during their child's visit. Only the parent or guardian who signs a child into the YAC may sign them out or pick them up.
