Not sure if a Boot Camp is for YOU? Boot Camp LIGHT is the place to start! Boot Camp LIGHT is the newest addition to our Boot Camp portfolio. BCL is a unique health and fitness program developed by the Downtown Y that will prepare you for our Basic Training Boot Camp. BCL differs from the Y's other Boot Camp offerings in that it is primarily directed toward members who may have reservations about trying a regular Boot Camp. BCL will give YOU the experience of a Boot Camp environment in a safe and thoughtful manner according to your own fitness condition. So what are you waiting for? Give this great class a try and conquer something you may not have thought you had the power to do. Cost is $99.00. This class is limited to 10 participants. Class meets on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:15am to noon.

Sessions will include weekly weigh-ins, great nutritional information and guide you through tracking your daily nutritional intake with a food diary. 16 sessions are what YOU get with 8WT and a trainer to keep YOU on the straight and narrow. 3N1 Fitness
3N1 Fitness is a personalized Wellness Program designed to place you on the path to achieve your health and fitness goals. This program design runs its course over a three month period. The plan consists of three phases. In each monthly phase you will meet with a Wellness Coach for your consultation and workout plan. The program is a combination of strength and cardio training which increases in each phase to build your cardio and strength endurance.
3N1 Fitness is a free service for all YMCA of Middle Tennessee members. Sign up for 3N1 by visiting our Welcome Center or calling (615) 254-0631 to schedule your first appointment and receive your first 30 day exercise plan.
Wellness Consultation
If you are unsure about your ability to exercise or how to start an exercise routine, you can meet with an experienced Wellness professional to discuss these matters. We have extensive experience understanding one's health and fitness history so that a safe and effective exercise routine can be customized for anyone regardless of their fitness level or health issues.
During the one hour, no charge, Wellness Consultation, we will recommend specific YMCA programs based on your fitness level and objectives. If necessary, we'll coordinate your YMCA activities with your health care provider. If there are no major health issues that preclude you from exercising, we'll move forward with an equipment orientation or similar program.

Fitness Evaluation -- Health Metrics
The Downtown YMCA offers a free, comprehensive health metrics fitness evaluation. This service provides you with the following: Body Mass Index (BMI), Body Fat Percentage, Blood Pressure, Waist to Hip Ratio, Resting Heart Rate, Theoretical Maximum Heart Rate, Daily Caloric Recommendation, Weight Loss Schedule if appropriate, and an Aerobic Workout Routine Recommendation. These metrics are discussed with you by a trained Wellness professional.
These health metrics provide a great starting point for those just starting an exercise routine as well as those folks who want to periodically chart their health improvements as they progress through their fitness journey.
The fitness evaluation takes about 30 minutes from start to finish. You can sign up for the service at the Welcome Center or by calling (615) 254-0631.
