Wellness
Equipment OrientationsBased on your individual goals, a certified trainer will acclimate you to different cardiovascular and strength training machines. The trainer will also demonstrate proper form, body alignment, pace and suggested repetitions. Two to four weeks later an additional appointment should be made to check your form and to answer any questions you might have about your program. To ensure continued satisfaction and positive results we recommend meeting with a trainer approximately 3 months thereafter.

Youth and Teens
Regular physical activity is important to all ages. The YMCA provides programs and services for youth and teens to learn the value of health and wellness and the importance of staying active! Our accent is on variety -- making it fun and different will keep them enthusiastic. Students can participate in traditional sports programs like basketball; or use the many areas for recreational fun, including the gymnasium, teen center and aquatics center. The wellness department provides specialty programs like SWAT (free to members), a staff-supervised weight and activity program for youth and teens, and the Youth-Parent program (fee for service program), a program that assists youth and their parent/s in designing a workout that is safe, fun and something they can do together. We've recently added some fitness machines to the wellness center to encourage youth and teen members to stay active and fit. There are many opportunities for youth to be active and stay active at the YMCA. Visit us today!
